Sotiris started practising yoga in 2013. His need for deeper knowledge and study in the yoga system led him to attend his 200 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training near Konstantinos Harantiniotis. At the same time, he attended Bussiness & Personal Counseling (Life Coaching) at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, and the Thai Tradition Training (Thai relaxing and therapeutic massage).
In 2017 he co-founded Sankalpa Yoga Center in Athens. He returned to Thessaloniki in 2020 and in order to convey his knowledge on the path of yoga that helped him on his own personal evolution, he founded Jivatma Yoga Center. His teachings are in accordance with the universal principles of alignment of Anusara Hatha Yoga, a unique set of biomechanical alignment principles applied to each asana in order to enhance structural health, optimized body performance and prevent injuries. Breathing technics (pranayama) and meditation are part of his practices. His aim is to make yoga accessible to everyone and to honour the tradition of yoga whilst using modern scientific studies on its benefits to merge the old with the new, with the purpose to help each trainee evolve and develop both physically and spiritually. Through the years he became very interested in physical and mental relaxation in order to enhance psychological balance and emotional stability, which led him to attend Therapeutic Bahiranga Yoga Nidra Training & Mindfulness Meditation Training. In his practices, he supports students to begin to explore and expand within their own body and consciousness in order to achieve Mindful Body & Mind Evolution. Finally, in order to enrich his knowledge, he attends continuing education seminars with world-renowned Yoga teachers such as Desiree Rumbaugh, Andrew Rivin and Todd Tesen.
